aI am up to Something!

Yesterday I received these:

Now, they are not really for me, but I was so happy to go to the door and see them sitting there, just waiting to be opened! No stress, no bills, no credit offers, no junk mail! - just great surprises!

Which got me thinking... I like to receive mail! Getting the mail is one of my favorite parts of the day and I get mad at Aaron if he gets it!  Now, while there are plenty of bills and junk in my mailbox, it always brings a smile to my face to find something in my mailbox besides bills, junk mail and newspapers! and really, it doesn't have to be something BIG, just a note from a friend or a comic or something...

which made me think of THIS idea!

It is a Blissful Mail Chain - and here is how it would work!  (www.scrappersbliss.com)

1. Sign up to be on the list (and go sign up for the message board at Scrapper's Bliss if you are not already a member)
2. Send me your name, Bliss name and address (disclaimer.. your address will be distributed to the other members of the group!)
3. Then I will start the chain by randomly picking a person on the list and sending them "Bliss Mail" (this can be a card, a comic, anything you think this person might like.. small gifts are optional but NOT required). The person who receives the Bliss Mail will then have to "pay it backward and forward" by sending Bliss Mail back to the person who sent it to them and then randomly picking another person on the list to send Bliss Mail to.

Anyway, the list would go on and on! and you would be assured to both send and receive something fun in the mail!

Tinkering Ink... Hurry!

Ok! If *I* can get a layout done, so can you! I finally finished this layout this afternoon! I was wanted to post it at Bliss as inspiration for the Manufacturer Challenge this month, which btw, ends today and midnight! (hurry, you still have time!)

This is one of my favorite photos of Hannah! She is so proud to be holding her new baby brother! She is such a good, caring (most of the time) big sister! I know it is hard for her sometimes though being the oldest! Just the other day she asked why Brody got so much more attention than her?! I felt terrible! Gotta give the big sister more love! (oh, sorry about my crooked picture!)

Also thought I would share some pictures I took of Brody the other day! He is sooooo chubby, far cry from the 10th percentile baby we brought home from the hospital in August! I still need some help with the 50 lens! The photos are a little blurry, as I forgot to focus beforehand!

WE DID IT!

We did it!

We made a decision, we agreed, we found a HOUSE!!!

Yesterday we went on yet another trek around the country (and no I don't mean country as in Italy or France, but like cows in the pasture, chicken coop country) to look at houses... both Aaron and my patience have been wearing thin on these searches, as the possiblity of finding the type of house we want at a decent price point dwindled... We looked at big houses, little houses, new houses, old houses and OMG houses... houses we would worship were too small or too much money.. house we wouldn't be caught dead in needed too much renovation! So, where, we asked, are the houses we are looking for? Where can we find a house that is big (remember, we have 4 kids and 3 dogs) has a backyard, has been remodeled and is close enough to the base??? There had to be something! and finally, at the end of the day.... there it was!!!

The perfect house for us! It is 3 bedrooms/2 baths, 2226 square feet (you could fit two of the houses we are living in now in that space!)..... remodeled.. painted, new roof, new AC, new wiring, huge fenced backyard... and best of all..... a jacuzzi tub just for ME, a BIG scrap space and it is only 2 miles from the Rucker gate! - I wanted to link you up to some pictures but they already took down the MLS listing (damn they are fast!).. I will have to do a driveby for some photos, so check back later!

Oh, so we put in an offer.............. and after some banter, they ACCEPTED!!! Now to jump through a couple more hoops for the financing lady.. and viola, house for the Harwick Family!  I honestly CANNOT wait to leave this dump!

Not too much else is new around here. Yesterday we spent about 4-5 hours looking at houses with the realtor, kids and all. We saw a lot of nice houses, but still really want our original choice, so we put in an offer today. See it over there? It is really nice, but NOT finished.  If the deal goes through we will get to pick our paint, cabinets, carpeting, tile and the whole nine yards! oh, and they will be putting up a fence. I figure this house will hold us for a couple of years.. LOL! Cross your fingers and toes that they accept our offer!

Life here continues to roll along! - We still do not know for sure about the house! ugh! The builder took our verbal offer however, we are waiting to hear from the financing company to find the best loan option.. so, we wait!

Target is "supposed" to open this weekend.. although I have not seen any advertising or anything so I am not sure! - cannot wait to walk in the doors and feel like I am at home again! I fully plan on walking every aisle and letting it all sink in... LOL! How I have missed Target shopping for the past 7 months!

Hailey and Holly got their first big girl haircuts yesterday.. I sadly did not have my camera, but plan on taking "after" pictures soon! - Now, I say "big girl haircuts" but what the hairdresser really did was cut off the dead ends and then she used the flat iron to flip up the ends.. Hailey looked just like Farah Faucet.. LOL! and she kept saying how "fashion" she was!

Good Things Come in Threes!

It is true! In my life, good things definately come in threes! Take for instance:

my three girls

my three dogs  (ok, well, maybe only 2 of them are "good", but I still have three!)

and

my one little boy (oh, that's not three.. but still!)

Anyway, life has been a whirlwind since Aaron graduated WOC school. Due to some technical difficulties with our neighbors we have found ourselves wanting to get out of our "government issue" home... For those of you who don't know, we currently live "on post".. and let me tell you, I am not a complainer at heart, but I have many complaints about this "house".. ugh.. I cried the first time I saw it.. but, I digress..... we have begun looking for a house to buy and after a short search we found "the house"! Well, we have been working with the builder, realtor and financer and I am pleased to say things are looking favorable for us!!! (that is #1) I will fill inthe details as we find them out!

#2- Our tax check is scheduled to be deposited on Friday! - yay! (and Target is opening in Dothan this weekend, so that means I can actually go buy something there!)

and

#3 - I have been offered and accepted an exciting opportunity in the scrapbook world! Are you ready????

I am going to be a Bliss Girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Karen Carter is handing over her reigns as Marketing Director to little ole me!!!!! I am over the moon excited to be a part of such a cool site with such an awesome, talented DT and owner! I am a Blog Slacker!

I know, I know, it was one of my New Year's Intentions to update my blog more frequently and I am currently failing miserably! So much has happened since December, I am not sure where to begin! I guess I will give the highlights!

January - Came in with a whimper. We didn't do much of anything and fell asleep on the couch! The month was slow and cold and then warm and cold again.... all in all, pretty uneventful!

February - Aaron finally got into school.. so now you can call him Warrant Officer Harwick.. and salute my car.. of course this new title came with a month of single parenthood for me. I had forgotten how hard it is to work and take care of kids! The house fell to pieces.. toys everywhere and life carried on as usual! Grandma Patti came for the event. Here are some pics of the graduation and the girls in their sweet matching dresses!
