I swore I would never do it, claimed it wasn't "for me"... but, I have to say that I should know better than to "never say never!".....
For me, scrapping has always been about the paper and glue.. Nothing beats the sound of a fresh trimmer blade slicing through a beautiful piece of pattern paper, the smell of fresh adhesive or the texture of paper flowers, so how would I give that up for the flat pixels of the digital world?
Then, I got Photoshop...
First, I started to edit my photos, then, I discovered actions, then Jessica Sprague' classes introduced me to brushes, textures and masks... and next, I wanted to learn how to create a blinkies... One day I got really brave and decided to try a digital layout.... and I actually LIKED it!
I am definately NOT getting rid of my paper and glue, but it has been fun to learn how to manipulate elements and create fun pages without the mess to clean up afterwards!
Kristine Davidson from Creative Scrappers asked if any of the Creative Scrappers designers would like to work with some of Libby Weifenbach's amazing digital goodies from Sweet Shoppe Designs. I am no expert, but I thought it would be a great chance to dabble in my novice skills.
I used the Flip Flop Tan Mini Collection to create the layout below from our family trip to the beach earlier this summer.
and the Can You See Me Now? Collection for this layout about Aaron's homecoming
and the Boom Boom Clap Collection to create the layout below
Whether you are a digital godess or just getting started, Libby's designs are the perfect addition to your digital supply collection!
